Generative AI for Professional Development

On 23 September 2023, MITB students, alumni, and industry leaders came together to discuss the impact of AI and machine learning on our professional landscape. The distinguished panelists include Aaron Wong from Paypal Singapore, Xuyi Cheng from Lazada, Gerry C. from Deloitte, and Tri Le from GE Digital. They shared insights on how Generative AI is reshaping work dynamics and tech interaction, and addressed concerns about job displacement.

Ask-Me-Anything with SCIS Technopreneurs - Panel Discussion

On 29 August 2023, we had an evening of candid sharing by SCIS alumni Aaron Tan, Marcus Wee, Calixto Tay and Alvin Poh where they shared about the pitfalls they faced along the way, their triumphs and lessons learnt. From addressing the lack of a reliable second-hand car marketplace, recognising the gap in quality gaming laptops, to tackling the need for trusted mobile app development service, they have blazed the trails in diverse industries!

An Evening with Mr John Wu

On 12 May 2023, SMU hosted established technopreneur and angel investor John Wu, who shared his thoughts on society, culture and its impact on innovation at an intimate, closed-door session. Mr Wu was Chief Technology Officer of Alibaba Group and chief architect of Yahoo!'s directory search engine and its software applications. Co-founder and Chairman of FengHe Fund Management, he was named China Angel Investor of the Year 2014 by Entrepreneur, China edition.
