The new digital economy...where software security and convenience meet

On Singles Day (11/11/16), the biggest shopping day of the year in China, 82% of all purchases on, the world's largest online business-to-business trading platform for small businesses, were initiated on a mobile device. The total value of those payments amounted to almost $18 billion. We see a growing trend for smart phones to be used for e-commerce and financial transactions, despite the inherent risk of fraudulent and cyberattacks associated with the use of the mobile device. Essentially cconsumers and merchants have taken digital security for granted.

In this seminar the speaker will cover the security challenges of digital transactions made through smart devices and how consumers/merchants/banks should put security mechanisms in place to protect both digital transactions and an individual’s digital identity.
