Synopsis

Empowering Digital Banking with Big Data Analytics

Digital Banking is at the heart of the future bank - which aspires to be focused on customer needs, personalized and directly relevant, and integrated across channels. Banks that execute well in areas such as Customer Relationship, Product Design, Pricing, Cost Control, Channel leverage, will better be able to develop a competitive advantage.

In this transformation, Big Data and Analytics play a crucial role to enable the bank achieve results successfully. This seminar will focus on the key capabilities of Big Data Analytics and how it can enable the transformation to a future bank. We will discuss general principles and illustrate with actual examples from current consulting advisory engagements across Asia and Europe.

Mr Achim Granzen

Achim Granzen is the Chief Technologist for the Analytics & Data Management (A&DM) practice of Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Asia, helping clients generate actionable insights from business intelligence, analytics and big data technologies.

Granzen helps organizations to develop and implement a strategic approach to business analytics and designs tailored client solutions and develops reference architectures for new technologies. He has a focus on customer analytics for telecommunications, retail and financial services and expertise on text/sentiment analytics, predictive maintenance, and social analytics.

Prior to his current role, Granzen was a Senior Architect with Microsoft where he established the Data Insights Center of Excellence for the Asia region.

Granzen has more than 19 years’ IT industry experience, primarily in the analytics software and services business Prior to joining Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) in 2015, he worked for SAS Institute, IBM, and Microsoft, with regional responsibilities in Europe, the US, and Asia. He is based in Singapore since 2007.

Granzen is an HPE Distinguished Technologist. He holds a master’s degree in physics and studied in Germany and the UK.

Gianluca is a Solution Principal, part of Analytics & Data Management (A&DM) Asia Region Practice for Hewlett Packard Enterprise. He is responsible for definition and proposition of A&DM solutions that enables clients (mainly in the FSI space) to drive and grow their businesses.

Gianluca delivers advisory and architecture definition activities to help enterprise customers addressing complex business problems with information management architectures and analytic solutions.

Prior to his current role, he was Solution Principal for Advisory Services in A&DM South Europe, where he played an advisor and lead architect role for 9 years in many pre-sales and delivery engagements, mainly in the FSI Market (supporting architecture transformation programs in big European banking groups like Intesa SanPaolo and Unicredit, or insurance companies like Allianz). He played also the role of EMEA Workload Optimization Lead Architect, supporting strategic BI architectures transformation roadmaps (mostly based on Big Data technologies) for HPE customers across Europe.

Gianluca has 15 years of industry and IT experience. He joined HP in 2006 with the acquisition of The Technology Partners (held by Bain & Company Group), consulting firm specialized in Business Intelligence. In his career, he achieved relevant knowledge in delivery and technical pre-sales roles working for more than 30 enterprise-class customers in different industries.
