A seasoned banking industry professional with more than 20 years of experience in Singapore and London, Gerard has excelled in roles spanning trading to business management and governance. Working with banks, financial institutions, service providers and regulatory organisations, he has wide ranging experience across the industry, allowing him a unique holistic understanding of the interdependencies of the environment.
Gerard is the principal at Epitrain, a training and consultancy business that specialises in Banking and Treasury Risk Management, Financial IT, Corporate Finance, Project Management and Business Management. Working with education providers, banking institutions, and multi-national and local corporations, Gerard’s training style is pragmatic, lively and interactive, with activities specially designed for experiential learning.
His ability to correlate and replicate real-world scenarios into the training space provides a realistic and contextualized training for learners. This allows them to relate to the concepts and gain a true understanding of the principal drivers, which enables them to transfer and apply their newly acquired knowledge back to their workplace.
Gerard holds a Master of Science (Financial Engineering) from the National University of Singapore and is a qualified and established practitioner under the Capital Markets and Financial Advisory Services framework. He holds an Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) and is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
In his spare time, Gerard enjoys motorcross, mountain biking and trekking. He is also a volunteer Wilderness Medical First Responder.
